Hey geeks! What's up? Recently, some of my friends found out about my blog, and dared me to put up another post (well, I kind of dared myself). So, here it goes:
2016, haven't written here in a WHOLE YEAR. Lots of things have happened, some good and some bad. Let's get on to it then:
1. Senior Year - OH MY GOD. THE PRESSURE IS REAL. Between schoolwork and college applications, I've barely gotten time for myself, so I hope you'll excuse my absence. This year has been... entertaining, to say the least. Since it's my last year, these grades are really important for my college applications and for my graduation and just in general. I've been working really hard to maintain my GPA where it is, so hopefully it'll payoff in the future.
2. College Applications/Acceptance Letters - APPLYING TO COLLEGE IS REALLY FREAKING HARD. So many documents to fill out, transcripts to look for, universities to investigate/visit.... it's all pretty overwhelming. But at least something good came out of this! I got accepted at Seton Hall University in New Jersey and Syracuse University in New York! I'm still waiting for answers from a couple of other universities, but I'm pretty excited about these ones!
btw: FILLING OUT FAFSA AND CSS PROFILE AND ANYTHING RELATING TO FINANCIAL AID IS REALLY HARD
3. Music Classes - I think this is the saddest one. Last year, I started going to choir to practice and develop my voice technique, and it was going pretty good. This year, I got the opportunity to learn how to play the piano (which was what I originally wanted to take classes for), and I changed choir for piano. I was so excited to finally start learning what I truly wanted to. The first few classes, everything was great. I was really excited and determined to learn everything, but then.... it all fell apart. This semester has been pretty hard for me, and going to piano classes started to feel like an obligation instead of something I did for fun. I talked with my parents and I talked with my piano teacher until I stopped and dropped out from the music academy. It was pretty hard, and I guess I'll probably regret this in the future, but in this moment, I have to get everything in my life organized and do what I need to do in order for everything to turn out well.
4. My Friends - This year has been full of ups and downs, but I couldn't have gone through it if it weren't for my friends. I'm not going to say their names because of privacy reasons, but if they are reading this, here goes:
Thank you! You guys have no idea how special you are to me. I've always wanted to get through high school quickly because it wasn't worth it, but meeting you guys actually made me hesitate whether I wanted to leave or not. I know I'm crazy and I complain a lot, and I'm a pain in the ass, but thank you for at least tolerating me these past months. It's awesome that we were able to get closer these past few months, and I wish we would've gotten together sooner. You guys are extremely special to me, and honestly, I don't know what I would've done without you guys. You guys made me laugh when I was sad, you guys made me believe in myself, you guys helped me no matter what. I am eternally grateful towards you guys and I'm really going to miss you guys when we all go our separate ways. I hope our friendship never falls apart and always be there for each other.
